Hello and welcome to my website! I am a Senior and I live in a different state than my 99 year old healthy mother, My mom does not use a cane, wheelchair or walker. In fact she watches what she eats, exercises and still wears high heels. She has a better social life than mine. During the Covid19 pandemic, her apartment building driver who drove the tenants to the nearest grocery store and the mall weekly was told to cease this service. During that time, I ordered groceries for my mom on line to have them delivered to her. Not only did I order groceries, but also items from Walmart, Target and Amazon that she needed. After the pandemic was over, she was able to find relatives and friends to drive her to stores but she liked the online service so much that she still wanted to continue the major weekly grocery orders and delivery on line and so I did. She often told me that other Seniors in her apartment building did not have access to families to provide for them. I was able to schedule her Covid 19 shots and vaccinations on line with CVS as no one answered the phone to schedule the vaccinations as you may remember. She still has to wait on hold for banks, telephone companies, pharmacies, transportation only to be told that she should conduct this business online. I could not believe that the people, who answered the phone, lacked sensitivity to her age and lack of technical skills. I began to educate my mom on WIFI, cell phones, text and email , streaming, websites and even Facebook so that she had some knowledge of what people were talking about. I admire her thirst for knowledge and continuing education. I want to extend these services that I provide to my mother and education and training to other Seniors which is why I established this business, Serving Our Seniors Online (SOS). It is as though Society has forgotten the segment of the population who are not tech savvy and thus isolated them from Society and new products and services. I want to bridge that gap. Will All seniors see this web site? No but I am hoping family members will and reach out for heir loved ones to contact me for services. If you or they are local, I can meet with them.
